Four grand finals, three to be played in Young, will mark the end of a memorable season on Saturday.
Cameron said a shortened season and three freezing, wet weekends didn't dampen the spirits of Young's up and coming soccer stars.
"We still managed nine rounds which included three weeks of wet soccer which we played in. The wet games really made the kids appreciate the hot chocolate and hot chips after the game. So congratulations to the parents and kids," he said.
"It's been a really strong and very close competition with Forbes and Grenfell participating, and we have four really good grand finals this weekend.
"Everything went well we've been pretty lucky to have Gus Smith Oval. It's a large area and we've been able to maintain social distancing quite easily. I thank everyone for doing a good job and allowing us to get to where we have.
"I think it's also been really beneficial for the kids both physically and mentally to have a run around each week."
The sport is going strong in town with about 300 kids from Young registered this season and a further 100 from Grenfell and Forbes.
Paul Cameron's preview of grand finals:
Under 10s: LJ Hooker v McCafe
"LJ Hooker would be favourites, but McCafe will be looking for an upset which they're definitely capable of."
Under 12s: Forbes v Sportspower
"Forbes are undefeated but Simon Major (Sportspower coach) will have a few plans up his sleeve to surprise them."
Under 14s: Steadfast Homes v JM Roofing
"Steadfast have managed to find wins all year, and JM Roofing have high quality players."
Under 17s: Tegra v South West Tilt Trays
"A really tight one.
"Tegra probably are the form team and hold slight favouritism."
