Cars, homes, sections of road, play equipment and fences were spray painted on Hills Street, Pineview Circuit, Taylor Road and Prospect Street.
Young police on Wednesday afternoon said they believe the damage occurred between 1am and 3am, with witnesses reporting hearing a group of voices during that time.
At least nine cars and two homes were vandalised, police say.
Police are currently following a number of lines of inquiry, viewing CCTV and dashcam footage and have seized a number of items for forensic testing.
"It's completely unacceptable in our town that innocent people's cars and homes have been vandalised. It won't be tolerated. We have a number of lines of inquiry to follow," Inspector of Young Police Jacob Reeves said.
"The people involved would be best to see us before we see them. I won't be letting this matter rest."
