The Young and Harden units responded to six jobs from Friday night to Saturday night, as the town was drenched with rain and hit with wild winds.
One home and one business in Young requested sand bags as a result of the deluge on Saturday afternoon, while two homes needed assistance for leaking roofs.
Young SES also responded to a downed tree across a dirt lane south of Young on Saturday night, and assisted Harden unit with a leaking roof at a home on Friday night.
Yass unit responded to seven jobs for leaking roofs and trees down. Young unit controller Todd Richens thanked residents for taking precautions.
"On behalf of the Yass-Hilltops SES I'd like to thank everyone for doing their part cleaning out gutters, and trimming trees from around the house. The community prepared well for the weekend of storms," he said.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, close to 40mm of rain was recorded across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More wet weather is forecast this week and there's a chance of more storms on Tuesday afternoon and into the evening.
Young Police have warned motorists to drive to conditions.
"This can result in dangerous driving conditions, trees falling and erosion of roadway shoulders. Wet conditions can also result in increased stopping distance, decreased handling and steering capability and more difficulty taking evasive manoeuvres," Acting Sergeant Chris Bambrick said.
"Please be mindful of this on the roads, drive to the conditions and be safe."
The temperature plummeted on Monday with the maximum temperature predicted to hit 15C.
At 10.30am the feels like temperature was sitting about five degrees thanks to an icy wind. The long term average maximum temperature for October in Young is 22C.
The recent rainfall has taken the October total to 55.4mm, above the long term average of 47.3mm.
