The side held their own, with debating coordinator Kerrie Coulter saying the side debated the best they had all year, however it wasn't enough to beat out Terrigal Public School who went on to compete in the Semi-Finals this week.
The team of Zara McAlister, Henry McIver, Patrick Madden, Zara Hewson, Chloe Laybutt and Molly Smithers made it all the way to the quarter-finals competing against schools that had probably never even heard of Young.
Congratulations to the team and a huge thank you to Mrs Coulter.
