The animal rescues didn't end there for the Wagga VRA as, as odd as it may sound, a bird was stuck in a tree.
An injured crow took taking shelter in a tree along the Wiradjuri Walking Track in Wagga. The VRA retrieved the injured bird from up high and handed it over to the care of WIRES, making it two happy endings on the one day.
