"The radio advertisements are crucial to helping us spread our safety message, we know people often listen to the radio whilst in their vehicles, and our message serves as a reminder that incidents causing death and serious injury can occur in your own driveway," Mrs Emma Cockburn of the Georgina Josephine Foundation said.
Cootamundra MP Steph Cooke said it was important to increase awareness of the foundation's work.
"I'm pleased the important road safety campaign of Peter and Emma Cockburn of the Georgina Josephine Foundation can continue thanks to this funding boost," Ms Cooke said.
"The Foundation's efforts to increase awareness of the risk of low Speed vehicle run over is commendable, as it helps others right across NSW take heed and better understand the risks associated with vehicle movement in driveways and garages."
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the grants play an important role in the delivery of the NSW Government's Road Safety Plan 2021, which is guiding statewide efforts to reduce deaths and injuries from road crashes.
"More than 160 projects have been funded through the program since its inception in 2015, and now we're rolling out even more because community groups are in a unique position to connect with local people about local road safety issues," Mr Toole said.
