MLHD supports volunteers across the District to provide low-cost exercise opportunities for those aged over 50.
MLHD Health Promotion Officer Adelle Kennedy said if you enjoy working with older adults, meeting new people and being physically active, you may be the right person.
"Following training, volunteers will run Gentle Exercise or Tai Chi classes for people 50 years of age or over. Volunteers need to be willing to attend two days of training, run group classes and be prepared to complete an accredited first aid course," Ms Kennedy said.
Gentle Exercise leader training: 20th - 21st March in Wagga Wagga
Tai Chi leader training: 27th - 28th March in Wagga Wagga
Training, accommodation, meals and training resources are funded by MLHD.
"Volunteers will receive ongoing support and training and will be supported locally by a Health Promotion Officer," Ms Kennedy said.
"This is a great chance for a volunteer to lead and provide community members with a low cost and fun program offered locally.
"It's a great way to improve your own health and wellbeing, as well as others in your town."
