The meeting will be held at the Mechanics Institute on Neill Street, Harden on Tuesday, February 23 at 7pm.
"The announcement of the closure of the Southern Cross Care residence in Harden was very disappointing for the community and devastating for the vulnerable residents of the facility," Hilltops mayor Brian Ingram said.
"While the decision was made by a private enterprise, it was a calculated decision that will have a significant effect on the local community.
"It is important that the views of the community are represented and that a positive outcome that allows for the continuation of care for the elderly in Harden can be reached. I hope to see as many residents as possible at the community meeting."
