She'll be taking part in her second March Charge.
The annual Cancer Council fundraiser challenges participants to get active by walking as many kilometres as they can throughout the month, raising money along the way.
"I always support cancer research as I have lost family members and friends to cancer, including a six-year-old great nephew," Pammie said.
"I am hoping that one day there will be a real cure for cancer. It is so hit and miss now. I know quite a few who have survived the first bout of cancer only for it come back a few years later."
Pammie was inspired to enter the March Charge when she received a Fitbit as a gift from her daughter.
"It inspired me to do the March Charge in 2018. I ended up doing almost 300 kms. But I am a bit older this time but hopefully 250kms, which is about 10,000 steps a day.
"I have no big walks planned.. its just a daily thing," she said.
Pammie has plenty of training under her belt having walked more than 4800kms since first wearing her Fitbit in 2017.
"The other day Fitbit awarded me the Sahara badge," Pammie said.
"This means that since end of December 2017, I have walked 4800kms which is more than the length of the Sahara Desert."
Pammie has set a goal to reach $1000.
