Lions club of Young held its dinner meeting on February 24. President Geoff Freudenstein welcomed all members, especially the guest speaker local pharmacist Mr David Hamblin.

David shared with members the history of the PBS scheme and it benefits for all members of the community.
This scheme was introduced in 1960 to make medications more affordable. Generic medications was then introduced.
David then gave up to date information on COVID vaccinations and when and how they will be available to the general public.
After questions from members, president Geoff thanked David. During the evening District Governor Stuart Freudenstein inducted a new member, David Harty, sponsored by Lion Claire Goodwin.
