Firstly, a big thank you to all those who participated in the 13th Annual Lambing Flat Sculpture Wood and Big Art Exhibition and the Young and Hilltops first Art Trail.
It takes a whole community, organizes, artists and patrons to make such an event successful.
Over 400 people both young and old took the opportunity to visit the exhibition in the Town Hall and many then followed the art trail.
The people's choice was won by artists Glen Smith for his painting "Breaking Light in the Reef" and sculptor Kevin Payne for his sculpture "He-Mu."
Raffle results are as follows:
1st prize Garden Sculpture purchase and donated by YSA won by F Slater
2nd Prize Gift Voucher donated by Sandy Freudenstein won by J Burstal
3rd prize gift voucher donated by Sandy Freudenstein won by A Crowe
Young Society of Artists Inc. members are now working towards their autumn exhibition in the Burrangong Gallery, opening in the Young Visitors Centre on the 17th of April.
Members have been invited to add a special feature to the Autumn exhibition by creating small concertina art books to mark the Anzac commemorations and to honour the service men and women who serve in the Defence Forces.
Please note that the Art Room at the rear of the Southern Cross Cinema will be closed for the school holidays and will reopen on the 19th of April 2021.
