Current and former students and teachers gathered to mark the occasion.
Mayor Brian Ingram said it was an honour to attend and congratulated everyone involved in organising.
"It was an honour to spend the day with current and former students, teachers and parents. I congratulate all involved in the celebration. Maimuru Public School is an asset to the Hilltops community and I thank the centenary committee for their invitation to participate in this special celebration," Hilltops mayor Brian Ingram said.
The 100th birthday cake, decorated by Judy Honeman, was cut by the school's youngest student Keith Edgerton and oldest ex-student in attendance Jim Keogh, who started school at Maimuru in 1939.
Cootamundra MP Steph Cooke said the celebrations were a great part of her Easter weekend.
"On this glorious Easter Saturday morning, it was wonderful to join many generations of the school family for this auspicious event. Well done Principal Alison Pippard, Vicki Burstall, Meredith Timmins, the P and C and the broader community for your hard work in making this day happen," Steph Cooke MP said.
