Maimuru Public School celebrated a huge milestone over the Easter weekend with the school lifting the bat at 100 years in 2021.

Current and former students and teachers gathered to mark the occasion.

Mayor Brian Ingram said it was an honour to attend and congratulated everyone involved in organising.

"On this glorious Easter Saturday morning, it was wonderful to join many generations of the school family for this auspicious event. Well done Principal Alison Pippard, Vicki Burstall, Meredith Timmins, the P and C and the broader community for your hard work in making this day happen," Steph Cooke MP said.
