On Sunday, March 28 we held one of the first representative carnivals of the season and in true Young style a very strong carnival with teams joining us from all over.
We would like to thank the 56 teams who helped us start the year attending our carnival but also to celebrate 45 years for the Young and District Netball Association Inc.
What a blast was had and to be able to stand with these players, coaches, managers, carers, umpires, parents, grandparents, guardians, volunteers and committee is a true privilege to thank one and all for making this not only another successful carnival but a memorable one.
The Hilltops Council did a wonderful job in getting our courts carnival ready for the day. The resurfacing and relining of the asphalt courts and the preparation of the grass courts.
To our two representative teams that took part in the carnival firstly our under 14s development side coached by TJ Dal Molin. You guys had a solid first carnival together and we look forward to seeing you grow together as a team over the coming carnivals.
Opens team coached by Kelly Slater climbed the ranks further by taking the winners crown. Congratulations and all the best for your next carnival. To all our volunteers who assisted on the day of the carnival and prior to the carnival your help was greatly appreciated.
To our associations/clubs, players, coaches, managers, carers and umpires thank you for everything you do to support netball. The games were of a high standard and we certainly weren't without our spills throughout the day.
Teams from all over experienced strong quality matches something that the Young and District Netball Association can be proud of continuing to achieve in there carnivals throughout their 45 years.
To our small but strong working committee you guys are the bees knees and are certainly a resilient and hardworking bunch. Keep up the ongoing work and onwards and upwards I say.
