The PCYC Sports Stadium is the venue for about 50 exhibitors offering multiple training and educational opportunities to students post school.
In the diverse mix are also employers who offer traineeships and apprenticeships.
Schools from Grenfell, Boorowa, Murrumburrah, Cootamundra and Young will be attending throughout the day, including some upper primary students from Young and the local village schools.
In total, more than 1000 students will be visiting the event.
Parents and the general public are invited to attend between 2pm and 3pm, after all students have departed.
The School Careers Expo is being coordinated by the Rotary Club of Young and organised by a committee with representatives from Hilltops Council, TAFE, Young High School and Hennessy Catholic College.
NSW Education provides funding to host the event and Young forms part of a Central West tour that is planned by the NSW/ACT chapter of the National Association of Prospective Student Advisors.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to visit many different training and educational providers under the one roof and in your own local community," Careers Expo coordinator Sue Gordon said.
"Hopefully, it will assist parents and students to have fruitful discussions regarding the many opportunities available."
On the evening of Monday, April 19, Training NSW and the University Admissions Centre (UAC) will be giving a presentation to students, parents and teachers at the S and C Club from 5.30pm.
Training NSW will be speaking about apprenticeships at 5.30pm and UAC will be talking about university entrance and the application process at 6pm.
"This is a great opportunity for students, parents and teachers to learn and ask questions first hand," Sue Gordon said.
