Andena was laid to rest at Young cemetery on Wednesday, April 14 where students from Young High School were invited to take part in an honour guard for an integral member of the Young High School staff.
Young High School principal Anna Barker paid tribute on the school's Facebook page.
"Andena, an outstanding Student Learning Support Officer (SLSO), was an integral part of Young High School where she cared for and supported students and families over many years," school principal Anna Barker posted this week.
"Her energy, passion and dedication is what made Andena unique."
The sentiment has flowed throughout the community with so many sharing stories of how Andena had touched their lives throughout the years.
School staff will support students during when school resumes and counselling services will be available.
