Mercy Place Mount St Joseph's Service Manager Shelley Gledhill shared the photo on social media last week.
Staff believe the photo may have been taken at Mount St Joseph's between 1920 and 1930 and possibly pictures some of the first residents on record.
Shelley has asked locals to help identify the four gentlemen in the photo to see whether their names match the men's admission records.
"I'd love to find out more," Mercy Place Mount St Joseph's Service Manager Shelley Gledhill said.
"We found this wonderful treasure some time ago, and wonder if anyone might know who the people are in this picture and when it may have been taken?
"It would be lovely to add this little piece of history to our gallery and be able to note who they are for future generations. We are curious if these gentlemen may have been four of the first residents in 1924."
Records indicate in March 1924 there were 10 residents at Mount St Joseph's.
Their names were Healey, O'Malley, McGrath, Earls, Shea, Young, Ryan, Mulrenan, White and McGlynn.
