It wasn't - the superhero theme was for Eli Anderson's fifth birthday party, and it couldn't be more fitting.
Eli, dressed as Iron Man, celebrated with friends and family.
It was the first opportunity for Eli to have a birthday party since he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on May 11, 2019, three days after his third birthday.
He required immediate treatment, which has been ongoing for the past two years.
This week, Eli headed to Sydney, where he underwent a bone marrow aspirate and a lumber puncture to determine whether he is completely clear of all leukaemia.
"If it comes back all clear we finish chemotherapy," Eli's mother Nickara Tanner said.
"He'll hopefully get to finish it all in the next week, it will be great to get to the end of it.
"It's gone fast but it's a long time for him.
"We've had a bday and end of treatment party just to celebrate the years he's gone through. He hasn't had a birthday for three years because of it so we've gone all out for this one.
"He loves superheroes, and when he asked we thought it's very fitting because he's been one, so we went with it. It's amazing that so many people dressed up. Family and friends."
Community raffles in 2019 received support from more than 50 businesses with thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
"Yea we wouldn't have been able to much of it without the support from the community, the raffles, all the fundraisers. Most of shops in town had tins and many people put in as much as they could which helped us a lot, and also helped us contribute to Ronald McDonald House which was really awesome. The community has been amazing, it's overwhelming the amount of people that were willing to help. You don't like asking for help, but so many were willing."
The family thanked Tim Anderson for the jumping castle and Cake-A-Holic for the cake for Eli's fifth birthday.
