At Young Health Service, staff enjoyed a lovely lunch and afternoon tea.
Cluster Manager Jo Garlick praised the hospital's nursing staff.
"This year has been a time of adjusting to a new normal to meet and manage challenges due to COVID-19, welcoming new staff and working together to provide best care and positive experiences. Over the past months there has been extra shifts and many extra hours by many staff. That is teamwork," she said.
"Each and every nurse contributes to the success and outcomes achieved as a team."
Mercy Place Mount St Joseph's celebrated diversity of their nursing team, and held a prayer service for those who have family and friends impacted by COVID-19 in India.
Some of the residential aged care nurses are from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and China.
"They bring a lot to the team through their culture and experiences," service manager Shelley Gledhill said.
"They work so hard, they are so dedicated."
