Young trained Joe Powell looked well placed to finally record a breakthrough win when she lines up in the Christy Park Pace over 1720 at tonight's Young Harness Racing Club meeting.

A last start second to impressive Cowra winner Red Envy on June 13 the Kevin Powderly trained Joe Powell is already the veteran of 33 starts.
Despite still being a maiden the six-year-old daughter meets a field made up mostly of one time winners.
Of the field of 10 only Our Big Slow (Mat Rue) and Royalhotshot (Nathan Turnbull) are the only multiple winners Joe Powell will have to contend with.
Of these Royal Hotshot looks to provide the stiffest competition after a last start third to McDreamy Guy at Cowra.
The winner of five races, Royal Hotshot will have to overcome the nine gate on the second line, whereas Joe Powell has drawn perfectly alongside the rails on the front line.
At Cowra last week Joe Powell was drawn alongside the speedy Red Envy and wasn't able to cross the leader, driver Shane Hallcroft instead electing to take a sit behind the race favourite.
Todd Day takes the reins tonight and from the one it wouldn't be a surprise to see Joe Powell hold the lead and control the tempo from the front.
Wombat trainer Michael Prest has Pete's Pet Rock and Khawaja in the same event.
Scott Osmond takes the reins on the latter with Taylah Osmond booked to steer the former.
Another Cowra placegetter, Uroc Baby will lead the Young charge at tonight's meeting in the first event, timed to start at 5.05pm.
Drawn to start from the awkward 10 on the second line Uroc Baby is one of a strong contingent in the night's opening event.
Joining the Rick Burnett trained pacer in the field are the Todd Day trained pair of Pete Mitchell and Holy Camp Caprhyse and the Kevin Powderly trained One Horn Billy.
All have the ability, if they are at their best and have even luck, to contest the finish but will have to overcome impressive last start winners Red Envy and Carribean Pat.
Young again has a good representation in the evening's second event with David Micallef's veteran pacer Hey Suzie, Katie Jenner's Lettuceroll and Todd Day's Western Belle all facing the mobile start.
On her day Hey Suzie is clearly the class runner but the latter pair have been racing in far better form of late.
Young is again represented by a trio of pacers in the third with Billysbredone (David Micaleff), Black Derby (Wayne Phillips) and Uroc Skinny Jeans (Rick Burnett) in the 10 horse field.
Uroc Skinny Jeans, as the winner of three of its past five, wouldn't surprise if she records win number nine.
Only a field of eight will roll up behind the mobile in the fourth event with three of those being Young trained in the form of So Much Better (Glenn Schiller), Star Brutus (Rick Burnett) and Goodtime Junior (John Downey).
The aptly named So Much Bettor's form is just that in comparison to the other Young representative, on recent outings but all three may face an uphill battle with Lucky Nutter (Wendy Turnbull) and Alta Downs (Geoff Lawson) both coming off last start wins.
Hello Miss Kitty (Rodney Blythe), Bettorbetbig (Tony Turner) and Josie Ella represent the Cherry Capitol in the fifth event, all attempting to turn around recent indifferent form.
Young's biggest single race representation comes up in the final event, the Trimech Maiden Pace courtesy of What A Team (Rodney Blythe), Madam Miss and Irish Speed (Maurice Johnson), Sweet Delight's (Nathan Hoy) and Mister Stubbs (Troy Fletcher).
Irish Speed was a good third at Cowra last week behind Red Envy, while Sweet Delights improved sharply off its first up effort at Young, to finish second last start at Canberra on June 14.
