Twenty-two players took advantage of the fine conditions to enjoy an afternoon of bowls.
Most games were close at the half-way mark but the final scores saw some quite big margins.
The vouchers were taken out by Albert Carter and Les Fanning who had the biggest margin of 27 shots.
In other games Andrew Hutchison and Cliff Traynor won by 19 shots and Brian Christie and Denis Rosen won by 16 shots.
The two closest games saw Alan Gall and Harold Anderson win by 6 shots and Michel Alavoine, Tony Ruhl and Joe Bargwanna win by 3 shots.
Unfortunately the weather conditions for Saturday and Sunday meant that no games were played.
The preliminary round of the BPL Cup that was to be played on Sunday did not get started and has been rescheduled for this Saturday. The club will open at 9.45 am with the first games to start at 10.00 am.
The final of the Club Singles will also be played on Saturday afternoon. This should be a good game with Geoff Holt playing Damien Miller.

HOCKEY RESUMES
The South West Slopes Credit Union hockey competition resumed last Saturday in wet and chilly conditions following the holiday break and a washout the previous week.
The opening game saw a close tussle between Penguins and Vikings with neither team being able to breach the opposition defence in the first half. Vikings were finally able to get their corner combination working with a nice set play resulting in Brendan Sheppard scoring early in the third quarter. They added to the lead from another penalty corner with Declan Laybutt this time evading the defence to finally get one past Penguins keeper Kayla Gruber who had an outstanding game in goal.
There was no further score in the last quarter leaving Vikings with a 2-0 win with Kerri Palmer and Sheppard in the mid field for Vikings having strong games while Mark Birks and Ethan Birks were best for Penguins along with Kayla Gruber.
Red Backs started strongly against Badgers with two early goals via a trade mark Luke Cosgrove penalty corner conversion followed by Tom Wills swooping on a Badgers defensive error. Badgers struck back on the bell for the end of the first quarter when a through ball from David Hall found Jen McKay in space to score. Badgers were back on level terms 8 minutes into the second quarter with David Hall picking up a save from Red Backs keeper to put away the second chance.
It only took three minutes for Red Backs to regain the lead with Mark Brooker netting from a penalty corner for a 3-2 half time lead. Brooker scored from another corner late in the third quarter and then two more goals to Red Backs'Geoff Palmer with a back stick shot and Trent Shean on the post saw them come away with a 6-2 win to remain undefeated at the top of the table.
Next week's matches are:- 1.30pm DTS v Red Backs (Badgers/Vikings) 3.00pm Badgers v Vikings (DTS/Red Backs) Penguins Bye
