Local trainer Kate Jenner picked up a win in the first race of the night, The TAB App Pace over 2100m with her horse Lettuceroll with Jordan Seary holding the reins.
Kate was the only trainer from Young to win on the night with some fierce competition and some fast times.
Starting in a good position Jenner's 4-year-old gelding sat third back at the barrier before quickly finding his pace before making a move to the front on the second lap to overtake Hello Miss Kitty.
Lettuceroll was in the lead at the bell with Phyrric Dancer trying to make a move on Seary. Not ready to be outdone the Young horse found another gear and put some distance between him, Phyrric Dancer and Hello Miss Kitty sitting a full length and a half in front by the final turn.
By the time the field made it out of the turn and onto the home straight Lettuceroll was at least seven meters in front of Hello Miss Kitty and Golden Zara for David Micallef pushed her way around the field to cross the line in third.
Fellow Young trainer Troy Fletcher crossed the line for third in the second race of the night, the Ingram Shearing Pace over 2100m.
There were two big races for the night with Race 5 the NSW Breeder Challenge 2-Year-Old Fillies Heat over 1720m and the NSW Breeder Challenge 2-Year-Old Colts and Geldings Heat in Race 6.
Race 5 was taken out by Captain's Queen trained by Russell Jack and driven by Brad Hewitt. The $1.10 favourite had a cracking fast time with a mile rating of 1.56.4.
Crossing the line second in the first heat for the night was the Scott Hewitt trained Lulu Mae driven by Sam Hewitt with the Bruce Harpley trained and driven Macarena Madi placing third.
Race 6 was won by the unbeaten Mister Rea for Raymond Walker, however the Young trained Eucan Roll for Micallef has also qualified for the semi-finals in Menangle in a month's time.
"He went really good, I was really happy with him," Micallef said.
According to Micallef the Walker horse has been unbeatable and looks to be one of the favourites in the semis.
"He's on track," Micallef said. "He's only had the two starts for two seconds now and both races have been in a really good time.
"To run second to Ray's horse that's unbeaten, we're really happy with that."
Micallef has said that Eucan Roll will step out for another run in around a fortnight's time before heading off to Menangle for the semis of the Breeders Challenge.
