Susan's dedication to education recognised

Red Bend Catholic College has celebrated an incredible achievement as long serving teacher Susan Earl was recognised for her dedication to education.

With 30 years of teaching as an agriculture, science and TAS teacher, Susan was recently honoured by Marist Schools Australia with the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Marist Education award.

The accolade acknowledges her commitment to supporting students and promoting Marist values.

Red Bend principal Stephen Dwyer praised Susan's tireless efforts, particularly her leadership in developing the College's cattle team and involvement in junior judging competitions.

"Susan has given many hours of her own time for the past 24 years taking students and cattle to many agriculture shows around the state," he said.

"Susan exemplifies Marist values in her daily life and interactions with students and staff. Her commitment and passion in both her professional and community roles make an enduring and positive impact on the students and the wider school community."

The award was presented during a special evening hosted by Marist Schools Australia at St Joseph's College in Hunters Hill.

The evening included a celebratory mass followed by the presentation dinner where staff from Marist schools across NSW and ACT were honoured for making significant contributions to Marist education in a way that goes beyond the ordinary.

"We are thrilled to acknowledge Susan Earl's contribution to Marist education," Mr Dwyer added.
