Today local stations are between five and 14 cents cheaper than last week.
These are the prices in Young for today, January 21. The district prices are the average prices recorded by NRMA yesterday. We have been unable to collect Harden's prices.
We've been comparing local fuel prices from last Monday to Wednesday, which averaged between 128 cents and 132 cents per litre for unleaded petrol.
Today's average price in Young is 119.4 cents per litre, 0.3 cents cheaper than yesterday's average.
It's also the second consecutive day our average price is lower - though only slightly today compared to yesterday - than that of Temora and Yass, whose averages are now 119.9 and 119.8 respectively.
However Young is 2.7 cents cheaper than Canberra, who is charging an average 122.1 cents.
Over the last two days we have seen a big drop in prices since last week.
Today Shell takes the title for reducing their unleaded price the most (by 14 cents) compared to last Wednesday when they were charging 133.9.
Their price remains at 119.9 cents after dropping four cents yesterday.
The Road House on the Olympic Highway - still with the cheapest unleaded price in town - also remains at 116.9 cents, as it has since last Friday.
They are charging five cents less than what they were last Wednesday.
Woolies (E10) and BP (unleaded 91 and ethanol) are competing for the second cheapest price in Young, both sitting on 117.9 cents.
It's 10 cents less than what Woolies was advertising this time last week and a massive 12 cents difference for BP.
BP's price today is also their cheapest since we began our fuel campaign on Monday, January 12, when it was 134.9.
Caltex and Mobil remain the same since yesterday on 123.9 and 119.9 respectively.
It's the same price Mobil was advertising last Wednesday but an 11 cents difference for Caltex.
Today Young's average still remains just over 15 cents higher than Sydney's average of 103.8.
But it's a more favourable gap than Monday when it was 17.5 cents difference and last Tuesday when it was 22 cents higher.
Sydney's average continues to fall by an average of one cent per day.
Surrounding areas also continue to drop - Cootamundra by a further 1.5 cents after reducing their price by 2.5 cents yesterday.
Their price now sits at an average of 125.4.
Forbes is 0.6 of a cent cheaper to charge 115.6 and Temora is 1.6 cents less to make 119.9.
After increasing their average by 2.9 cents yesterday, Yass has dropped 3.6 cents today (to charge 119.8).
