In the lead-up to Young’s busiest time of year, the Young Tidy Towns Committee has initiated a new clean-up day to get the town looking great for the huge influx of annual visitors.

The committee felt it was important to have the entrances to the town and areas being utilised for the Cherry Festival to be looking their best.
Young Tidy Towns Committee president Keith Duran stressed that it was vitally important for Young to be looking its best in time for our annual Cherry Festival.
“It is important that we show off the best our town has to offer,” Mr Duran said.
“We want visitors to Young to see it at its best and for people to view our community in a positive light.”
The committee is calling on community members to come and lend a hand on Sunday November 2.
Registration will take place at 8.30 am at Young Town Hall and participants will be directed to one of nine strategically chosen sites around town.
At the conclusion of the clean up morning, the committee will host a free barbecue at 12.30 in Anderson Park with cool drinks for all participants.
