This year Tubbul Campdraft Committee will host their 13th annual event, running over three days at Bribbaree Showground.
Competitors will have the chance to experience the newly constructed arena which has greatly improved safety and usability in all weathers.
It was an enormous effort on behalf of volunteers who delivered and spread over 100 semi trailer loads of sand to improve the ground’s surface.
The committee has also fully replaced the arena fencing.
The weekend will see 10 events held, with the ladies’ event being the feature draft.
The draft is held over two rounds and a final with the winner receiving a custom made John Lordan saddle.
This year the ladies’ final will be held on Saturday evening and will feature a calcutta, where spectators will have the opportunity to purchase finalists at auction.
The campdraft is made possible each year by generous cattle donors who without, the draft simply couldn’t run.
The committee gratefully thank Blantyre Farms, David Davidson and Matt and Chrissie French for the use of their cattle. As well as major sponsors of the draft who contribute prize money and product.
These include Bargwanna and Gerrard, Keith Simmons Engineering, Young Powder Coating, Hilltops Equine Centre, Reece Plumbing, T & D’s Produce, Giddy Up Gags and Bits, Ambos Stockfeeds, Mitavite, and Horseland Wagga.
Catering will be available all weekend and spectators are encouraged to attend.
