Round 3 of the Porsche GT3 Challenge was held at Sydney Motorsport Park on July 4 and 5.
McCorkindale qualified fifth on the Saturday after placing second in Race 1 in the 30-lap Jim Richards Endurance Race.
The remaining two races were conducted on the Sunday where he earned himself a first and second placing.
McCorkindale took first place overall for the weekend to shuffle into second place in the overall points in the championship.
Last week he made the journey to Queensland to compete in the Jim Richards Endurance Trophy race at Queensland Raceway over August 7 to 9.
After taking his first round win at the track in 2014 he hoped to repeat last year’s efforts to take the endurance crown against the best in the challenge
