A local man who police followed home and discovered cannabis sitting on a table and in bags in a drawer has been fined $600 for drug possession.

Scott Goolagong of Whiteman Avenue, Young was convicted of the offence in his absence in Young Local Court on January 5.
According to police facts, police entered the 22-year-old’s residence about 5.15pm on November 19 to find one man smoking cannabis in a bong and Goolagong sitting beside him with a small metal bowl containing cannabis on a table in front of them.
Goolagong had admitted to owning the three small resealable bags containing 3.49 grams of cannabis that police found in a drawer.
