
Young man and former Hennessy Catholic College student Matthew Anderson has proven that coming from a country area hasn’t stopped him achieving great success.
Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine with distinction from the University of Newcastle recently.
He was also presented with the Australian Medical Association (NSW) Limited Prize, which is awarded to a student graduating from the degree of Bachelor of Medicine (Joint Medical Program) who demonstrates the highest overall ability and capacity in the final two years of the medical program.
He was also the recipient of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) Prize, which is awarded to the student who has achieved the most outstanding performance in psychiatry.
Matthew grew up in Young, starting his schooling at St Mary’s Infant School and graduating from Hennessy in 2010.
He is currently completing his internship at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
