The carnival will be held over October 15 and 16 at Keith Cullen Oval and has currently attracted teams from Forbes, ACT, Moss Vale, Orange, Grenfell, Yass, Illawarra, Adelong, the South Coast and Tuggeranong.
The Canobolas Roar Masters will also attend this year, with organisers predicting over 20 teams will nominate for this year’s carnival.
The popular Masters City versus Country match will again be held as a stand alone game on the Sunday morning.
The carnival brings a huge economical boost to Young as all teams stay in town over the weekend. Accommodation is at a premium and we are looking at B&Bs and other ways to accommodate the teams.
If you have available rooms or rental houses, please contact us so we can put you in contact with the teams .
While this year we have plenty of visiting teams we are looking to see weather the Burrangong Bears and the Monteagle Magpies - who played a couple of years ago – are going to revive their sides.
Organisers extend the invitation to all local sporting organisations in the position to enter a team to get involved in what’s guaranteed to be a fun weekend.
