Now retired, Brother Cummins taught at CBC Young from 1950 to 1957 inclusive and developed a fantastic relationship with his many pupils.
In addition to his teaching, Brother Cummins was active in coaching many sporting skills in a variety of activities including rugby league, cricket, athletics and gymnastics.
Mr Peter Woods from Leeton entertained the gathering as he recalled a number of incidents he enjoyed at CBC with Brother Cummins.
In his response Brother Cummins said he had enjoyed his work with the boys at CBC and those years were very special and fondly remembered.
A presentation was made on behalf of those present by Mr Kevin Carmody.
As part of the evening’s entertainment, ex-student Brian James, who was part of the production team, screened the short film Raising from the flat from Gold to Glory.
The event was organised by Mr Chris Worthington.
