Year 9 Hennessy Catholic College student, Nicholas Hall, has been named Player of the Tournament after being selected for the 15 years Combined Catholic College Country Rugby League team.

Nicholas spent the first week of his July school holidays in camp at Parklea in Sydney. During the camp he had the opportunity to visit NRL headquarters, attend training sessions at both the West Tigers and the Canterbury Bulldogs.
The team played Manly, St George Illawarra and Penrith development squads, winning all matches. On the last day, Nicholas was named Player of the Tournament. He received a St George Illawarra jersey for his efforts.
Hennessy’s Brett Cowan said the school is extremely proud of Hall’s achievements.
“He is an outstanding sportsman – Nic is an all round sportsman and this is reflected in what he has achieved in both cricket and rugby league this year,” Cowan said.
“All Hennessy students who strive to succeed, have the opportunity of representing at the highest level through the representative pathway all the way up to national school teams.”
Hall has also played in the NSW All Schools 15s cricket team this year and holds the record for the most number of wickets taken in the tournament.
He is currently in the Under 17s Country Development Squad.
