Young’s two federal representatives were sworn in to the new government at a special ceremony.
Michael McCormack was sworn in as Minister for Small Business as part of his third successive term as member for Riverina.
Fiona Nash, deputy leader of the Nationals, was sworn in as Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Local Government and Territories, and Minister for Regional Communications.
Mr McCormack said he is honoured by his appointment as Minister for Small Business in the re-elected Coalition Government.
“Having owned and operated a small business in Wagga for more than eight years, I understand firsthand the vital role it plays in many local communities,” Mr McCormack said.
Mrs Nash has welcomed her new role.
“I’m delighted to accept my new role and can’t wait to get to work,” Mrs Nash said.
“My vision is to help build country communities our children and grandchildren want to stay in or come back to, and this portfolio positions me to do that.”
