Use of a stolen credit card after a recent spate of steal from motor vehicles in Young saw local police execute a search warrant on a residence in McLerie Street.

Police received reports of 10 steal from motor vehicle offences between Monday, August 22, and Tuesday, August 23, with small amounts of cash, and personal items allegedly taken.
Police investigations identified two persons of interest, one who spoke to police on Tuesday and another they still wish to speak to.
Police were alerted to the credit card after it was used at a number of local shops, resulting in the McLerie Street location being searched.
They found a number of items of property believed to have been from the steal from motor vehicles offences.
Police will contact the victims once the items have been processed.
They encourage any other victims who may not yet have come forward to contact Young Police Station on 6382 8199.
The police would also like to remind the community to not keep valuables in vehicles to to make sure they are securely locked.
