Our club social days are being well attended as members keep up their practice for our next competition, the Bradd Shield.
This event is very popular being played as doubles on level play and proves to bring out the best in us all.
Tuesday, November 1 is Melbourne Cup Day and we are holding a special day at our club for this.
We will be starting at 10am with croquet being played for all who attend. Members are asked to bring along a friend for the occasion as it will also be a fun day.
A hat parade will take place prior to the running of the Cup so we would ask all who attend to bring out their fanciest headgear as there will be prizes for this event.
“It was a very popular day last year and everyone’s looking forward to enjoying it just as much this year,” club member Doug Leabeater said.
“The organisers are hoping that as many members as possible will attend this year.”
As we will be having lunch and afternoon tea we would like members to bring a plate to make sure we all have plenty of nourishments.
