Hilltops Council is thrilled to announce two new funding initiatives, different from the Stronger Communities Fund, but with the same aims of aiding our communities in achieving their goals and strengthening our region.
A new Hilltops (Harden) Community Initiatives Funding Program will be made available for application by individuals and groups from the former Harden Shire area.
This new form of funding will replace the former donations request requirements and has been implemented with the intention of ensuring that funds are distributed in a transparent manner.
Guidelines are included with the application forms and will be made available at the Hilltops Harden Administration Office or on the Hilltops Council website.
The Hilltops Council (Young) Administrators Scholarship will follow similar arrangements to the former Young Shire Council Mayoral Scholarship and seeks to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged people within the township of Young, to help fund academic pursuits, sporting endeavours and art programs.
Guidelines are included with the application forms and will be made available at the Hilltops Young Administration Office or on the Hilltops Council website.
Also as a quick update on the assessment of the Stronger Communities Fund applications, a November 14th final panel assessment date has been set which means that Council is hoping to award the funding cheques by the end of November.
The growth and development that these funding opportunities will offer our region is exciting and I look forward to seeing the evolution of all of these community projects in the near future.
Wendy Tuckerman is administrator of Hilltops Council, the amalgamated Council of the former Young, Harden and Boorowa Shire Councils.
