Play on Thursday afternoon saw 22 players participating.
Four of the five games had winning margins of 1, 1, 2 and 3 but Max Penfold and Joe Bargwanna had a big win in their game with a 16-shot margin.
There were just fourteen players on Saturday afternoon.
The team of Andrew Hutchison, Justin Nowlan and Geoff Hines had the best margin for the day when they won their game by 13 shots.
Other winning teams were Peter Berry and Harold Anderson (10) and Denis Rosen and Dave Quigley (2).
Sunday morning saw twelve players taking part.
The winners were Michel Alavoine, Bill Standen and Albert Carter with the big score of 17 points.
Thanks to those players who took part in the President’s Day at Boorowa Ex–Services on Sunday.
Play continued in the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
The best score on Tuesday night was 14 points for the RLOB Panthers. A number of other winning teams scored 13 points.
With one round left to play the RLOB Panthers are on 92 points, the RLOB Tigers on 89 points, Stock Route on 87 points and Lions on 86 points.
On Thursday night the 3G Mac Attack team scored 17 points in a very big win and just behind them came the Slightly Biased team with 16 points.
Criterion Hotel lead this division on 98 points followed by Murringo on 97.5 and Slightly Biased on 97.
Some very interesting games to be played on both nights this week.
A number of social groups have used the club’s facilities for both bowls and meals in recent weeks. This included members of the Young High School staff on Friday and South-West Fuel Supplies on Saturday.
Visiting bowlers from Canberra will be playing at the club on Saturday. They will be playing in the morning and afternoon and it is very important that we have bowlers to play against the visitors for both the morning and afternoon games.
Details are on display at the club and players are able to play in the morning or the afternoon or both.
The Annual Presentation evening will be held on Saturday night. There will be a sit down meal at 6.00 pm followed by the presentations at 7.00 pm.
Members who intend being there for the meal need to purchase a ticket (the cost is $12) by Friday evening.
The Fishing Club’s Christmas Bowls Day will be held on Sunday. Entries for bowls close at 12.30 pm and the BBQ dinner after play is a highlight.
The club is also pleased to announce that Tone Boldrini’s pizza oven is now operational and this provides patrons with an additional dining option.
