The Royal Far West Bike Ride finish up their three day, 450 kilometer bike ride from Wagga to Orange on Tuesday but Monday morning saw the over 100 riders stop in Young for morning tea at Anderson Park.
Students from Young Public School, Young North Public School and St Mary’s Primary School got in on the action as they each raised funds to go towards the Ride for Country Kids 2017.
Young Public School and Young North Public School students were given the opportunity to meet and chat with tennis great Wally Masur and SBS Tour de France commentator Mike Tomalaris.
The cyclists are hoping to raise $800,000 to go towards giving country kids the same healthcare opportunities as their city counterparts.
