The Young Golf Club’s handicap pennant team played Cootamundra at home on Sunday with Cootamundra proving to be a bit to strong for the local team.
Gavin Marshall and Bailley Scott-Miller were the Young club winners whilst Steve Dewar, Gary Anderson and Paul Blizzard were only narrowly defeated.
Next Saturday at the Young Golf Club it will officially be the first weekend of winter, the club will also be holding its June Monthly Medal decider sponsored by Keith Simmons Engineering.
Next Sunday the club will hold a medley event with a ball sweepstakes.
Young Golf Club will be holding the local qualifying round in the State Fourball Championship on Saturday June 10.
The event will be sponsored by Keno and will be a great opportunity to play in a state final.
Organisers hope there will be a big field vying for the opportunity to qualify.
