After speaking with a contact from St Vincent de Paul in Bega the boys have made the decision to drive down some much needed supplies for those who need it the most after a fire ravaged the community.
“They asked for non-perishable food items, money, shoes – joggers, school shoes for kids etc – new underwear and socks,” the group’s spokesperson said.
“They have blankets, towels etc but they may need more later.”
Money can be donated through Bega Valley Shire Council.
“I’m guessing things like shovels, brooms, buckets etc to aid in clean up would help too,” the spokesperson said.
Anyone wishing to donate to the cause is able to drop off items to JBE Joinery Storefront by contacting Peter first on 0438294758.
The Hillbillies will be leaving for their run on Saturday March 24.
