Hospital auxiliaries in Young and Boorowa are raising funds to support their local facilities this month. Today, July 20, Young has the annual Soup Day at the Town Hall from 11am to 2.30pm. On Sunday July 22 Boorowa has a trivia activity and lunch at the Boorowa Ex- Services Club from 11am. Your support is welcomed.

Cherry Queen and King Competition

Remembering James White
James White is regarded as the first white settler in the Young region and a display in his name will be opened next month at the Lambing Flat Folk Museum in Campbell Street. “The Story of James White” DVD will also be launched. The event takes place on August 11 at 2pm, with Mr Leon Isackson, author of “Brothers in Exile”, the story of the White Family as guest speaker.
Guinea Pig Expo
Hilltops Cavy Club are holding a guinea pig information and expo today, July 20 at the Young PCYC in Lachlan Street. There will be a variety of breeds on display, some pigs to hold and pat, bring your pig for a nail trim and watch bath and correct animal husbandry demonstrations.
