Police officers will speak out about the steps farmers can take to detect and prevent crime, new crime fighting technologies, how to report crimes to police and, what to do if a crime occurs.

It’s hard enough working on the land at the best of times without also having to deal with the constant threat of trespassers, illegal hunting, livestock theft, equipment and property theft and other preventable crimes that farmers from Rural NSW and all over Australia are faced with over the years.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke said the workshop will be an opportunity in the current dry conditions for farmers to get together for a free dinner and have a chat in a more relaxed atmosphere along side the rural crime investigators.

The workshop taking place in Young is one of 26 workshops that will be held across the state between September and October 2018.
The Rural Crime Prevention workshop will be held at the Young Services Club on Thursday October 11.
The workshop will start from 6pm and end around 8pm.
