On Saturday and Sunday, February 16 and 17, a number of Young's show riders went to the 2019 SHCV Battle of the Borders held at Albury Wodonga Equestrian Centre, hosted by SHCV Northern Victoria Border Districts.

Tori Wall was the deserving winner of rider 17 to 21 years, riding her own horse Daisy Patch Devine.
Tori and Daisy Patch Devine are now proceeding onto the next stage after qualifying for the 2020 Grand Nationals.
Wangilla Coster exceeded expectation for the Wells family in his first Grand National qualifier.
He finished runner up in Newcomer Show Hunter Hack, third in preliminary Hunter Hack, top 10 in open Small Hunter Hack and he finished off the show by taking out the Laura Berben Memorial.
Rider Tracie Wells gained third in her rider 30 years category.
Tahlia Wells returned to competition from a 12 month break.

She finished in the top 10 riders 21 to 30 years and placed third riding Asman in a hotly contested large open Hack Class.
Elly Sabidussi riding Marbuck Tuqiri was a top 10 rider in the 15 to 17 years category placing in fourth.
She also took out Smartest on Parade in Child's Show Hunter Hack over 15hh.
Jo Goulder and her own Idontno finished runner up in the preliminary Hack over 15hh.
She also gained a top 10 finish in the small open Hack Class title.
