While pre-polling isn't open in Young for another week, more than 500 early voting centres opened across the country on Monday, ahead of the poll on May 18.
With a record enrolment rate of 96.8 per cent, more than 16 million Australians are set to take part in the national vote.
"We have the most complete electoral roll since federation and we're providing a broad range of voting services," Australian Electoral Commissioner Tom Rogers said.
"But it is up to enrolled Australians to turn out to make sure they have their say."
Almost 52 million ballot papers are being printed, with postal votes also distributed to those who have applied.
A pre-polling centre opened yesterday on Baylis Street in Wagga for those in the Riverina electorate looking to cast their vote early.
Pre-polling at Young opens on Saturday, May 11 at the Young Town Hall.
It will then be open from Monday, May 13 till Friday, May 17.
Candidates for Riverina are Michael McCormack (Nationals), Richard Foley (United Australia), Michael Bayles (Greens) and Mark Jeffreson (Labor).
Mr McCormack last week drew the coveted position of number one on the ballot paper, he'll be followed on the ballot paper by Mr Bayles, Mr Jeffreson and Mr Foley.
Pre-polling will also open on May 11 at centres in Cowra at the Uniting Church, Parkes at the Uniting Church, Cootamundra at Dickson Hall, West Wyalong at the old council chambers and Forbes at St John's Anglican Church.
Election day is May 18.
