According to police from Young Police Station between 7am Friday June 28 and 7am Saturday June 29 'unknown persons' have damaged Sawpit Gully Oval by driving or riding a vehicle in a circle and digging up a large area.

Between 2pm on Friday June 28 and 8am Saturday June 29 similar damage was found at Keith Cullen Oval.
Young Police are seeking any witnesses to cars or motorcycles on the ovals or in the streets surrounding the ovals.
Such damage to community facilities is unacceptable and any information would be greatly appreciated.

41-year-old male arrested for high-range PCA - Young
About 11:05pm on Saturday June 29 police were patrolling Lovell Street, Young when they stopped a 41-year-old male driving a blue Toyota.
The male was breath tested and returned a positive result. He was taken to Young Police Station for a breath analysis and returned a reading of 0.205g of alcohol in 210mm of breath. Inquiries revealed the male had never held a drivers licence.
He was charged with the offences of "Drive with high range PCA" and "Unlicenced driver - never held a licence". He will appear in court at a later date.
