The club earlier this year announced it wouldn't field a side in the Woodbridge Cup due to lack of interest to form a sustainable roster.
However, Bears treasurer Jimmy Sheehan announced a men's first grade and ladies league tag team is entered in the new 11-a-side Community Cup, designed to give more people in the region, who can't commit to a full season, an opportunity to play social football.
The competition will be split into southern and northern divisions before a finals gala day involving all teams.
The opening weekend of competition is set for August 16, with results from preliminary rounds used to rank teams for the finals.

"So far it's probably 75 percent new faces which is a good sign for us if we want to get back into Woodbridge Cup," Sheehan said.
The Bears are expected to host one of the southern division's preliminary rounds.
The games will be played under senior safe play rules and each game will consist of 15 minute halves.
Western Rams regional manager Peter Clarke said the priority is enjoyment.
"It's great for small towns or clubs that don't have the numbers to get through a full season," Clarke said.
"It's exciting to have the Bears back."
Burrangong is training on Wednesday and Friday nights. For more information visit the club's Facebook page.
