Despite Young's petrol prices being up to five cents a litre more expensive than some smaller local towns Young's prices are almost 20 cents a litre less expensive than the states top prices.

On Monday in Young the cheapest two businesses to purchase E10 unleaded fuel from were the Metro on Lovell Street and the Woolworths Caltex where motorists were paying 134.9 cents a litre.
The Caltex Roadhouse on the Olympic Highway towards Cootamundra motorists were being charges 139.9 cents a litre and at the BP in Young 141.9 cents a litre, however if locals were stopping off at the BP at Edgecliff in Sydney they would have been expected to pay 155.9 cents a litre for E10.
The cheapest place to fill up with E10 across the state on Monday was at the Caltex Woolies in Chester Hill where drivers paid 122.7 cents a litre before any discounts.
Anyone paying for Unleaded 91 in Young on Monday was paying between 140.9 cents a litre and 143.9 cents a litre with the Metro on Lovell Street setting its price at 140.9, the Caltex Roadhouse towards Cootamundra 141.9 and South West Fuels 143.9 cents a litre.
The lowest price for Unleaded 91 across the state on Monday was 124.7 cents a litre before any discounts at the Woolies Caltex at Chester Hill and the most expensive was at the White Cliffs Outback Store Mobil where customers were being charged a whopping 191.9 cents a litre.
In the diesel department locals could find the cheapest place to fill up at the Metro only paying 144.9 with the Caltex Roadhouse the next best with prices sitting at 146.9 and then South West Fuels were a little more expensive charging 148.9 cents per litre. Premium diesel was only 146.9 cents per litre at the Metro in Young while at the Young BP and Woolies Caltex premium diesel was 149.9 cents per litre before any discounts.
Across the state the cheapest premium diesel could be found at the Metro in Aberdeen where motorists only paid 126.9 cents per litre while the most expensive in the state was sold at the Independent in Trundle where prices were 169.9 cents per litre.
