The 17s were too good for Albury Thunder winning 28-18.
With a scheduled bye this weekend giving them two points, it means the Cherrypickers under 17s can't be knocked off the summit of the table.
Meanwhile, Young's reserve grade are one win away from finishing the regular season in top spot.
The Cherrypickers remained in first place with a 20-6 victory over Albury Thunder on Sunday.
This weekend's clash with Cootamundra Bulldogs will decide whether the Cherrypickers reserve grade come away with the minor premiership, or slip down the ladder.
Young under 19s have enjoyed another successful year, however they can't claim the Weissel Cup minor premiership despite sitting second with one round to go.
The 19s have a scheduled bye this weekend and while it does mean they get two points, first placed Southcity Bulls also have a bye and will finish in first place.
The ladies' league tag are aiming to finish third, rather than fourth, to avoid an elimination semi-final.
Following the weekend's loss to Thunder, the Cherrypickers slipped to fourth as Albury leapfrogged Young into third. First grade are eighth.
This weekend, Young hosts Cootamundra in first grade, reserve grade and the ladies' league tag.
