As part of Mercy Day celebrations last Thursday at Mercy Place Mount St Joseph's, a number of staff were recognised for their service.

Margaret Austen, Leigh Uhr, Heidi Stevens, Helen Auld, Jenny Bush and Vicki Newham were all recognised for their dedication and commitment to their roles as care companions.
Vicki has been at Mercy Place for 25 years, while Jenny was acknowledged for 20 years service.
Margaret, Leigh, Heidi and Helen have all been at Mercy Place for 10 years.
Jenny Bush said the best part of the job was caring for the elderly and making friendships.
"The most satisfying part of the job is caring for the elderly making sure they're comfortable and taking care of all of their needs," Jenny Bush said.
"I've seen a lot of changes in 20 years. We've started a new model of care which is really good. It's working good, it's more home like for the residents which is so much better for them.
"You meet some lovely people. The people you meet, the staff. It's all been memorable."
Margaret Austen said it's a great way to serve the community.
"It's great to serve my community and be part of my community in this way," Margaret Austen said.
A service was held at Mercy Place before an afternoon tea.
