Picnic race meetings for the next month, including Cootamundra's marked down for April 4, have been cancelled as the threat of the spread of coronavirus grows.

The decision comes following Prime Minister Scott Morrison's ban on non-essential gatherings of 500 or more people.
On Wednesday, the government banned inside gatherings of 100 people or more.
As a result, Racing NSW announced that all race meetings will only be open to trainers, jockeys and the bare essential staff for running a meeting until further notice.
Cootamundra Picnic Race Club president Di Williams is disappointed, however understands the decision needed to made.
"We've had about 450 people the last few years but we would have had over 500 this year, plus trainers, jockeys, staff and that's an extra 100 people. The decision was taken out of hands anyway," president of Cootamundra Picnic Race Club Di Williams said.
"We were trying our best to keep it running, but we'll come back bigger and better next year. It's a bit disappointing but it is how it is at the moment and it's better to be safe than sorry."
She thanked supporters and hopes they return in 2021.
"I'd like to thank all the sponsors we've had wonderful support this year it would have been a great day. The support has been great I really hope we can keep them all next year," Di said.
NSWPRA president Craig Tyack said none of the four clubs wanted to continue without a crowd.
