Listed as an emergency, Gotta Be Mac made the most of his opportunity when he was promoted to the starting field, taking out the Ladbroke Multimaker Pathway Stakes (307m).
Launching from box eight, Gotta Be Mac ($3.30) avoided the early traffic and rounded up Darren Mort's race favourite Milosti ($2.40) at the top of the bend to win by three-quarters of a length.
The results was Gotta Be Mac's first win in 16 starts since passing the post first at Young during August last year.
Meanwhile Wallendbeen-based trainers Jack and Lorraine Roy finished with a winning double at Goulburn on Tuesday.
Every Chance showed superior speed from the boxes and led throughout in the Ladbrokes Cash out Stakes (440m) to win by a comfortable five-and-a-quarter lengths margin.
It made it two for Jack and Lorraine with Copper Canyon breaking through for his first win in the RedTV Productions Maiden (350m).
